Hi @Kayle01 ,

Welcome to The HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

I understand your HP DeskJet 2755e All-In-One Printer is not printing double-sided despite setting it to do so, here are a few steps you can take to troubleshoot and potentially resolve the issue:

Check Printer Compatibility: Ensure that your HP DeskJet 2755e model supports automatic duplex printing. Not all models support this feature, so consulting the printer's specifications or manual can confirm whether duplex printing is supported.

Driver and Software Update: Make sure your printer driver and software are up to date. Sometimes, outdated drivers can cause issues with advanced printing features like duplex printing. You can update the driver through the Device Manager in Windows or directly from the HP website.

Printer Settings Verification: Double-check the print settings in your application (e.g., Microsoft Word, Adobe Reader) and ensure that duplex printing is selected. Here’s how you can do it in Windows:

  • Open the document you want to print.
  • Go to File > Print.
  • In the print dialog box, locate the option for duplex or two-sided printing.
  • Ensure it's set to "Long edge" or "Flip on long edge" for duplex printing.
  • Click Print to send the document to the printer.

Printer Preferences Check: Verify the printer preferences directly through Windows settings:

  • Go to Control Panel > Devices and Printers.
  • Right-click on your HP DeskJet 2755e printer and select Printing Preferences.
  • Look for a duplex or two-sided printing option and ensure it is set correctly (usually under the Finishing tab).

Paper and Tray Settings: Ensure that the paper size and type settings on the printer match those in the print job and that there is enough paper loaded in the tray. Improper paper settings can sometimes prevent duplex printing.

Reset Printer: If all else fails, try resetting the printer to its factory defaults. This can sometimes clear out any settings that might be causing the issue.

Check for Firmware Updates: Occasionally, firmware updates can address bugs or issues related to printing functions. Check if there are any updates available for your printer's firmware through the HP website or HP Smart app. Update the firmware on an HP printer

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
