@Aytrd, Welcome to the HP Support Community!

Thanks for reaching out about your query regarding your HP 3639!

We're thrilled to have the opportunity to assist you and provide a solution.

I understand how frustrating it must be to see your HP DeskJet 3639 continuously turning on and off, especially after replacing the motherboard. I'd be happy to assist you in resolving this issue.

Since you've already updated the software and changed the motherboard, let's try the following troubleshooting steps:

1. Perform a Power Reset

  1. Disconnect the printer's power cable while it's turned on.
  2. Unplug the power cord from the wall outlet.
  3. Wait at least 60 seconds.
  4. Plug the power cord back into the wall outlet directly (avoid surge protectors).
  5. Reconnect the power cable to the printer and turn it on.

2. Check for Hardware Issues

  • Ensure the power cable and adapter are genuine HP and properly connected.
  • Try a different power outlet to rule out power supply issues.

3. Reinstall the Printer Firmware (If Possible)

Since you suspect a software issue, try reinstalling the firmware:

  1. Download the latest firmware for your printer from the HP Software and Drivers page.
  2. Install it and restart the printer.

Hope this helps!

Take care, and have an amazing day!
