Issue: The black ink cartridge was low. I decided to change it with a brand new ink cartridge. No black ink printed. I replaced that cartridge with another cartridge. Still, no black ink prints regardless of whether I print an alignment page, or print directly from the computer.
Steps I have taken:
I have made sure the printer software is updated.
I have replaced the ink cartridges
I have done a hard shutdown with the ink cartridges removed.
I have done a hard shutdown with the ink cartridges in place.
What are my next steps short of placing the printer neatly on the curb?
Please be specific and if you are linking to something please provide the link. The last time I had an issue with a scanner four years ago, I wound up spending $90 on vuescan software as the HP Easy Scan would not talk to my then current OS. So if this is some type of software issue, please... I am open to anything.
