Operating System: Win10 64bit

Problem with my old 5520 printer, I plan on upgrading when I've used all of my HP cartridges. This problem only occurred after the latest firmware upgrade MGP1CN2023AR but unfortunately you don't get the option to downgrade.

Tried everything...Uninstalled all drivers and re-installed, used 32bit virtual machines, disabled advanced printing features - the list goes on. The weird thing is, the printer prints the test page from the printer interface and also prints from the windows test option ok, however, when I try to print anything from an application you can hardly see the print. I have also tried printing in black only and  best quality color.

The ink cartridges are HP 364 - I'm pretty sure its the firmware 

Any ideas will be welcome
