I cannot adjust the margins on my HP 5660. It prints with unnecessary space and no setting options can fix this issue.

Hi @yuyud,

Welcome to the HP Support Community.

I'd be glad to help you!

I'm sorry to hear about the margin issue with your HP 5660—it can be frustrating when your prints don't come out as expected. Let's figure this out together and get your printer working correctly.

  1. Does the margin issue occur with all types of documents and applications or only specific ones, like PDFs or Word documents?
  2. Have you checked the document's margin settings and ensured they match the paper size you're using (e.g., A4, Letter)?
  3. Are you using the latest printer drivers and firmware for your HP 5660?

Let's try these steps

Check Document Margin and Page Size Settings

  • Open the document in your application (e.g., Word, PDF viewer) and verify that the margins are set to your desired size.
  • Ensure the paper size in the document matches the paper loaded in the printer.

Update Printer Settings in the Driver

  • Go to Settings > Devices > Printers & Scanners on your computer.
  • Select your HP 5660, click Manage, and then choose Printing Preferences.
  • Adjust the margins, paper size, and layout options under Advanced Settings to match your needs.

Perform a Printer Reset

  • Turn off the printer and unplug it from the power source.
  • Wait for 2–3 minutes, then plug it back in and power it on.
  • Try printing again to see if the margins adjust correctly.

Use HP Smart App or Print Diagnostics

  • Open the HP Smart app on your computer or mobile device.
  • Run the printer diagnostic tools to identify and resolve common printing issues.

Reinstall or Update Printer Drivers

  • Visit the HP Support website and download the latest drivers and firmware for your HP 5660.
  • Uninstall the current printer driver from your computer and reinstall the updated one to ensure any software conflicts are resolved.

Hope this helps! Keep me posted for further assistance
