My hp 6000e printer won’t print. There is not a paper jam and ink is fine.

Hi @Mrozier,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

It sounds like the issue could be related to the printer's connection, settings, or something minor that might have been overlooked. Here are a few troubleshooting steps you can try.

Check the Printer's Status:

  • Make sure the printer is turned on and there are no error lights flashing. Sometimes, the printer may show an error on its display.

Check the Printer Queue:

  • On your computer, check if there are any print jobs stuck in the queue. Clear any pending print jobs and try printing again.

Reboot Devices:

  • Restart both the printer and your computer. Sometimes, this clears temporary glitches.

Verify the Connection:

  • Ensure that the printer is properly connected to your computer or network, depending on whether you’re using USB or Wi-Fi.

Check for Software Updates:

  • Ensure that the printer's firmware and drivers are up to date. You can visit the HP support site and download the latest drivers.

Perform a Printer Reset:

  • Turn the printer off, unplug it from the power source for about 30 seconds, and then plug it back in and turn it on. This can sometimes reset the internal system.

Test with a Different Document or App:

  • Try printing a different document, or from a different app or program, to rule out software issues.

Check the Ink Cartridge Connection:

  • Even though you mentioned that the ink is fine, it’s worth removing and reinstalling the cartridges to make sure they’re properly seated.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
