HP 6950  - Error code ox6100004a.  There is no paper jam and the printhead cartridge tray is stuck to the right.

This occurred after an automatic update. Is there anything that I can do other than replace it? I have tried the reset with the power cord fix outlined by hp. I have even taken the thing apart. There is no paper. I am able to release the printhead by unplugging during startup process. But it just returns back to the same error once you restart. Also tried to manually update firmware, but this happened after it had auto updated, so it won't let me. It says firmware is up to date. I have fought with this thing for 2 days. Printer is 2 years old & not 1 issue until this update. So frustrating. Any help resolving this issue will be appreciated. I really don't want to get another printer.. Thanks in advance.

@JGaillard, Welcome to HP Support Community!

If you have already performed the steps from the document '0x6100004a' Error After a Paper Jam Message and the issue persists, it could be a hardware failure.

Please reach out to HP Support in your region regarding the service options for your printer.

Hope this helps!
