Dell Laptop
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I have my HP 6968 printer setup to be shared on wireless network, and have one of 4 computers on USB

I have not had a problem until recently, and with only 1 of the 4 computers that use the printer.

I get a print error on one of the computers, and this is trying to print anything, document picture... whatever.

The scanner works with this computer, but not printing.

I have uninstalled and reinstalled the software, drivers, etc multiple times

Followed directions troubleshooting with the print / scan doctor, the system passes all the checks but will not print

The virtual agent lastly told me that I need to do a fresh install of Windows 10.

I would rather not go to that extreme if I can avoid this...

Open for any and all suggestions

Hi,

Try following below specific version of the HP Print and Scan Doctor Utility by selecting your printer:

http://ftp.hp.com/pub/printers/hppsdr/patches/HPPSdr.exe

Be sure to restart your PC and allow the utility to complete the process, then check for any difference.

Try printing and check for any change, if the same remains try printing using the newly added print queue copy (Copy1) and check for any difference.

If the same persists, could you please include a screenshot of the exact error message shown?

Thank you ShlomiL... this version of the print doctor fixed the problem.

This version should replace what is currently on the HP download since it fixed the problem and the other print doctor did not fix anything

Thank you again

Ken
