HP 7740 totally dead. No touch screen. Only three lights on which do not respond to being pressed. No response to open door for printer cartridges.  Everything was just fine yesterday. No updates, no changes of any kind. Help!

@Madhouse3,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

Hard Reset:

Unplug the power cord from both the printer and the wall outlet.

Wait 5-10 minutes.

Plug the power cord directly into a wall outlet (avoid power strips/surge protectors).

Reconnect the cable to the printer and press the Power button.

Check Power Adapter & Cord:

Ensure the power cord and adapter are securely connected.

If you have another compatible power cord, try swapping it.

Check for a Power Supply Issue:

Plug another device into the same wall outlet to ensure it's working.

If possible, try a different power outlet.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
