Hi @HANAPONO,

Welcome to the HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query. I will be glad to help you.

This is a common issue and usually not the printer’s fault; it’s related to browser print settings or PDF rendering. If your HP OfficeJet Pro 8130 prints from Safari but not Chrome, here’s what’s happening and how to fix it:

Why It Happens

  • Chrome uses its own PDF viewer and print engine, which can sometimes conflict with printer drivers.
  • Incorrect print settings (e.g., “Save as PDF” instead of the printer).
  • Outdated Chrome or HP driver.

Step 1: Check Chrome Print Settings

  1. Open the webpage in Chrome.
  2. Press Ctrl + P (or Command + P on Mac).
  3. Ensure:
    • Destination = Your HP printer (not “Save as PDF”).
    • Background graphics enabled if needed.
    • Paper size matches printer settings.

Step 2: Try “System Dialog”

  • In the Chrome print window, click More Settings > Print using system dialog.
  • Select your HP printer and print.

Step 3: Update Chrome

  • Go to Settings > About Chrome → Update to the latest version.

Step 4: Update HP Driver

Step 5: Convert to PDF First

If direct printing fails:

  • Click Print > Save as PDF.
  • Open the PDF in Adobe Reader or Preview → Print from there.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have an amazing day!
