Hi! I see in this thread:

Solved: Office jet pro 8720 white screen of death - HP Support Community - 8081612

That @sandytech20 provided a DM solution to the same problem I'm having w/ my 8725 (8720 series) printer:

* Multiple times during the day the screen will go white and power + other touch buttons start flashing.

* If I press power then the printer restarts and is usable.

* Nothing interesting in syslogd

* Diagnostics page prints out B8A1AA60 as the system event happening over and over again.

Can I please have the same solution from that thread ^^^^ above?

Thank you.

== Eric

Hi @EricRi,

I'd like to help!

I understand you are receiving a blank screen and the blinking lights issue with the error B8A1AA60.

We can perform a factory defaults on the printer to resolve the issue

  • The reset instructions are specific for your printer and performing those steps on a different printer may corrupt the device.
  • I've sent you a private message with reset instructions, follow the reset instruction to perform a full reset and re-initialize the printer.

I have the same exact problem.

HP Support Peeps:

I have to unplug/reboot the printer pretty much every time I want to print! Unacceptable.

Why do we need private messages on how to reset the printer when this is clearly a common problem that affects multiple users?  Please post the procedure here.

Thank you.

I have this same issue.  Can you send me a PM with instructions on how to do a factory (complete?) reset please?

Thanks in advance,

Howard

Never mind.  It was in the printer preferences - easy peasy.

Now, just hope it actually fixed the problem.

Fingers crossed....
