Trying to print, screen / printer stuck displaying printing with the spinner icon. No mechanical movement. Same thing when I try to copy, printer stuck in the Starting Copy, no mechanical movement. On the flip side, I can print a status report or alignment page directly from the printer. Therefore I know the print mechanics are working. I just can't run a print job from the computer or run a copy directly from the print. I can do a scan from the computer thus I know the network card is good, data is flowing and the mechanics of the scan head are working. Anybody seen this before? I have owned this printer for 1.5 years. I talked to HP support and they said it seems to be a hardware issue and nothing they can do it about it since the warranty is expired. That is frustrating, I was expecting better quality hardware from HP. I don't want to be buying a printer every year, I would expect it to last at least a few years minimum. Very disappointed. Looking for any suggestions since it is now a brick.
