Hello! Recently I purchased new printer HP 9120b. The blue light is way too bright. Is it possible to lower the brightness or even turn off the light?

Hi @HollowDean,
Welcome to the HP Support Community.
I'd be glad to help you!
The blue light on the HP 9120b printer is typically used to indicate the wireless or power status, and its brightness can sometimes be overwhelming. Unfortunately, most HP printers, including yours, do not have a built-in feature to adjust or turn off the light. However, here are a few workarounds:
Check the Printer Settings:
- Access the printer's settings either via the control panel or the HP Smart app.
- Look for any options related to display brightness or lights. (This is rare but worth checking.)
Use a Dimmer Film or Sticker:
- Apply a small piece of translucent dimming film or tape over the light to reduce its brightness.
- Make sure the material is non-conductive and doesn't interfere with the printer's functionality.
Modify Placement:
- If the light is distracting, consider repositioning the printer so that the light isn't directly visible.
Check the User Manual:
- Some models have hidden settings that aren't immediately apparent. Refer to the user manual for specific guidance.
Hope this helps! Keep me posted for further assistance
