HP OfficeJet Pro 9125e All-in-One Printer

HP 9125e has thrown more than 260 errors in its first 10 days. Daily says "Out of Paper". Power cycle or power unplug temporarily solves error, but they always reappear.    Firmware is up to date.  Cannot over write firmware using the firmware downloader or the HP app.   This printer is still under warrantee and may have to go back.   Any suggestiions in rewriting the FW?

Hi @CaptainKagain,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

It sounds like your HP 9125e is having a persistent issue with its paper detection system, despite being relatively new. Here are a few suggestions to help address this problem.

Check Paper Sensors:

  • Dust or debris on the paper sensors might cause false "Out of Paper" errors. Carefully clean the sensors with a soft, lint-free cloth. Refer to the printer's manual for the location of these sensors.

Verify Paper Type and Quality:

  • Make sure you are using the recommended paper type and size for your printer. Low-quality or incorrect paper can sometimes cause feeding issues.

Inspect Paper Path:

  • Ensure there are no obstructions or jams in the paper path. Sometimes, small pieces of paper or other debris can cause problems.

Check Paper Tray:

  • Ensure the paper tray is properly aligned and that the paper guides are snug against the paper without causing any binding.

Reset Printer Settings:

  • Try performing a factory reset of the printer to clear any potential configuration issues. This will revert the printer to its default settings and might resolve the issue.

Reinstall Firmware:

  • Since you're having trouble updating the firmware, make sure you’re using the latest firmware version compatible with your printer. Try downloading the firmware from HP’s official website directly and follow the instructions carefully.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
