Hi @Bbking93,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

The error code C2FE0100 or C2FE0145 on your HP Photosmart Premium C309a printer indicates a serious hardware issue, often related to the printer's internal memory or firmware. Unfortunately, this kind of error often can't be resolved by simple troubleshooting steps and may require professional repair or replacement. However, here are a few steps you can try before contacting HP support:

Step 1: Power Cycle the Printer

  1. Turn Off the Printer:
    • Press the power button to turn off the printer.
  2. Unplug the Printer:
    • Disconnect the power cord from the back of the printer and the wall outlet.
  3. Wait for 60 Seconds:
    • Leave the printer unplugged for at least 60 seconds.
  4. Plug the Printer Back In:
    • Reconnect the power cord to the printer and the wall outlet.
  5. Turn On the Printer:
    • Press the power button to turn the printer back on.

Step 2: Reset the Printer

  1. Perform a Hard Reset:
    • While the printer is on, unplug the power cord from the back of the printer.
    • Wait 30 seconds, then plug the power cord back into the printer and turn it on.

Step 3: Check for Firmware Updates

  1. Update Firmware:
    • Check if there's a firmware update available for your printer on the HP Support website.
    • Download and install any available firmware updates for your printer model.

Step 4: Remove and Reinsert Ink Cartridges

  1. Turn Off the Printer:
    • Turn off the printer and unplug it from the power source.
  2. Remove Ink Cartridges:
    • Open the ink cartridge access door and remove all ink cartridges.
  3. Clean Contacts:
    • Use a lint-free cloth slightly moistened with distilled water to gently clean the electrical contacts on the ink cartridges and inside the printer.
  4. Reinsert Ink Cartridges:
    • Once the contacts are dry, reinsert the ink cartridges and close the access door.
  5. Turn On the Printer:
    • Plug the printer back in and turn it on.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
