@manoj2025, Welcome to HP Support Community,

Thank you for posting your query; I’m here to help by guiding you through steps to resolve this issue

If your HP DeskJet D1668 printer's power LED is on but the printer is not initializing, you can try the following troubleshooting steps:

Check Power Connection: Ensure that the power cord is securely connected to both the printer and the power outlet. Sometimes a loose connection can prevent the printer from initializing.

Restart the Printer:

  • Turn off the printer by pressing the power button.
  • Unplug the power cord from the printer for about 30 seconds.
  • Plug the power cord back into the printer and turn it on.

Check for Paper Jams: Open the printer and check for any paper jams that might be preventing initialization. Remove any stuck paper carefully.

Verify Cartridge Installation: Ensure that the ink cartridges are installed correctly. Remove and reinstall them to ensure they are seated properly.

Printer Reset: Try a basic reset by unplugging the printer's power cord for a few minutes, then plug it back and turn on the printer.

Update Driver: Ensure that your printer driver is up to date. Visit the HP support website to download and install any available updates for your printer model.

I hope this helps.

Please feel free to reply here if you have any questions or if you need further clarification on any of the steps.

Take care and have a good day.
