The answer to my question was thorough and understandable, but it did not work.  I do not have a smart phone to use, do not want to buy them, and need to use my laptop.  I have a Dell Inspiron with Windows, and I use Google Chrome as my default browser.   I used this printer, the HP 4152e a lot in 2022 and 2023, but had to have my laptop rebuilt (which removed the printer controls I had).  

 

When I downloaded the control program for my printer from the HP website, HP had me download Firefox to run the printer.   Printing documents from my laptop has not worked yet after many hours of trying to solve the issue with the suggestions I received.  

 

Next, I will try to Uninstall all of the HP printer programs and reinstall them.   Does anyone else have any other possible solutions to this problem, besides just buying another printer?

Reinstalling the Printer Software for HP 4152e


Uninstall the Current Printer Software:
 

  • Go to Control Panel > Programs > Programs and Features.
     
  • Look for any HP printer software and uninstall it.

Download and Install HP App:
 

Install the Printer Software:
 

  • Open the downloaded file for the HP app and follow the on-screen instructions to install it.
  • Use the app to connect your printer to your Wi-Fi if it’s not already connected.

Add Printer to Windows:
 

  • Go to Settings > Devices > Printers & scanners.
  • Click on Add a printer or scanner. Windows should detect your printer if it's on and connected to the network.

Set Up Printer in Google Chrome:
 

  • Open Google Chrome.
  • Access Settings > Advanced > Printing.
