macOS 10.14 Mojave

Set up printer all works ok from iphone.  BUT not working from macbook air.  Went back into EWS page and am locked out - wrote down admin password and all others but none work  so am in a fix as none appear correct!  I need advice pronto!

 

I saw on earlier posts about resetting but even when I ask to reset (on EWS page) it pops up asking me for user name and password so how to reset.  Other posts I note have had message from HP - could you please do same for me? really appreciate it.

A warm welcome to HP Support Community!

Resetting the printer network settings and re-connecting the printer to your home WiFi should clear the printer EWS password. Let's try these steps:

1.) On the printer control panel, press and hold the Wireless button https://support.hp.com/doc-images/162/c02131772.gif and the Cancel button https://support.hp.com/doc-images/824/c01623874.gif at the same time for 5 seconds. (This steps will restore default wireless settings on the printer and enable Auto Wireless connect. Immediately continue to the next step to install the software. You have approximately 120 minutes to complete the software setup using the HP auto wireless connect feature.) 

2.) Download and run HP Easy start from here.

3.) Follow the onscreen instructions to connect the printer to your home wireless network.

Senan this did not help. I followed instructions but once I clicked JOIN  it asked again for the administrator details which I put in and it will not accept them.. The solution I need is a complete restart .  TBH I am so fed up I just want to return it to Best Buy and get anything other than a HP printer.

That's unfortunate, I'm afraid, you have to call HP Support for further help. You may use the following steps to contact your regional HP Support:

1) Click on this link -  

2) Select your product type below.

3) Enter the serial of your device. 

4) Select the country from the drop-down. 

5) Select the chat or get phone number options based on your preferences. 

6) Fill the web-form and proceed further.
