Constantly gives you an error message to alignment required for best print quality. Having followed the process to align, it won't stop giving the alignment error message. Seems a few other folks have experienced this issue.
How can I fix before tossing?

HI @_Shrimp-2545,
Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
It sounds like you're dealing with a frustrating alignment issue with your HP Deskjet 4155E. Here are several steps you can try to resolve the alignment error before considering replacing the printer:
1. Check for Paper Jams
- Ensure there are no paper jams or obstructions in the printer that might be preventing the alignment process from completing.
2. Use Genuine HP Cartridges
- Make sure you are using genuine HP ink cartridges. Third-party cartridges can sometimes cause alignment issues.
3. Perform a Printer Reset
- Turn off the printer and unplug it from the power source.
- Wait for about 60 seconds, then plug it back in and turn it on. This can reset the printer and might resolve the error.
4. Manually Align the Printer
- Print a manual alignment page. Go to the printer settings on your computer or use the printer’s control panel to find the alignment option.
- Follow the instructions to print the alignment page, then scan it back into the printer as directed.
5. Update Firmware
- Check for any firmware updates for your printer. Sometimes, updates can resolve persistent issues.
- You can usually do this via the HP Smart app or HP’s website.
6. Clean the Printhead
- If the printhead is clogged, it may cause alignment issues. Use the printer's maintenance option to clean the printhead, or manually clean it with a lint-free cloth and some distilled water.
7. Check Alignment Settings
- Ensure that the alignment settings are configured correctly in your printer preferences on your computer. Sometimes, settings may revert to defaults.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
