Turned on printer and get error code C4EBA23D  with all lights flashing therefore disabling on-printer controls.  I have tried the basic suggestions by AI HP help and nothing has worked.   I checked previous posts but did not see any answers for my printer

Hi @dixiekaye,

Welcome to the HP Support Community!

Thanks for reaching out about your query regarding your printer!

We're thrilled to have the opportunity to assist you and provide a solution.

Try these steps:

1. Turn Off the Printer

  • Turn off the printer, then unplug the power cord. Wait about 10 seconds, then plug it in again and turn on the printer.
  • Check if the error persists when the printer is back on.

2. Check for Any Obstructions

  • Make sure there are no paper jams or obstructions in the paper path, cartridge access area, or other parts of the printer.

3. Inspect Ink Cartridges

  • Open the cartridge access door and make sure the ink cartridges are properly seated.
  • Remove and reinsert the cartridges to ensure they are installed correctly.

4. Reset the Printer

Follow these steps to reset the printer:

  • With the printer turned on, disconnect the power cord from the back of the printer.
  • Unplug the power cord from the wall outlet.
  • Wait at least 60 seconds.
  • Plug the power cord back into the wall outlet.
  • Reconnect the power cord to the back of the printer.
  • If the printer does not automatically turn on, press the power button to turn it on.

5. Firmware Update

  • Ensure your printer firmware is up-to-date. Outdated firmware can sometimes cause errors that might be fixed with an update.
  • Visit the official HP website and download any available firmware updates for your HP ENVY 5530 printer.

I hope this helps.
