my Envy 6000e suddenly stopped printing. The paper comes through without print but the E followed by 1 appears

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you. 
E1 error flashing on your ENVY 6055e and blank pages popping out like… well, like ghosts of documents past?  👻  Oh dear, that sounds less than ideal!  It's like your printer is saying "Error! Error! I'm on strike! No ink for you today!" in digital code.  Fear not, we're about to become error-evicting, ink-reviving superheroes and get your ENVY 6055e back to its printing glory!

 

Let’s tackle this E1 error and the mystery of the disappearing ink, step-by-step, with a dash of fun and hopefully a sprinkle of printer magic!  Think of this as our 'Operation: Ink-on-Paper' mission!

Check for Paper Jams

  • Turn off the printer and unplug it.
  • Open the input tray, output tray, and cartridge access door.
  • Remove any jammed paper, checking carefully inside the printer and rollers.
  • Close everything and plug the printer back in.

Verify Paper Size and Type

  • Open Printer Settings on your PC.
  • Check if the selected paper size matches the paper in the tray (e.g., A4, Letter).
  • Make sure you are using plain white paper.

Clean the Cartridges

  • Open the HP Smart app.
  • Go to Printer MaintenanceClean Printhead.
  • If needed, remove the cartridges, wipe the nozzles with a lint-free cloth, and reinstall them.

Reset the Printer

  • Unplug the printer while it's ON.
  • Wait 1–2 minutes.
  • Plug it back in and turn it ON.

Update or Reinstall Drivers

  • Go to HP Support and update your printer drivers.
  • You can also uninstall and reinstall the printer in Devices & Printers.
