Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I want to put in new cartridges.  I purchased HP 64 XL cartridges.  Now the printer will not take them it says "SET UP CARTRIDGES NEEDED"  .  Please help.

@Wasily, Welcome to the HP Support Community!

 

We need to perform an OOB reset on the printer to resolve this issue and to bypass the use of setup ink cartridges so that you may use the HP 64 XL ink cartridges.

  • The reset instructions are specific for your printer and performing those steps on a different printer may corrupt the device.
  • I've sent you a private message with reset instructions, follow the reset instruction to perform a full reset and re-initialize the printer.
