Hi @TBS79,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

If your HP ENVY Photo 7855 printer is stuck on the first dot during boot-up, it could indicate a few possible issues. Here are some steps you can try to troubleshoot.

Power Cycle: Turn off the printer, disconnect the power cord from the printer and the power outlet, wait for a couple of minutes, then reconnect the power cord and turn on the printer again. Sometimes, a simple power cycle can resolve minor issues.

Check Connections: Ensure all cables are securely connected to the printer and power source. Loose connections can cause startup problems.

Remove External Devices: If there are any external devices like USB drives or memory cards connected to the printer, remove them and then restart the printer.

Reset Printer: You can perform a partial reset on the printer by following these steps:

  • With the printer turned on, disconnect the power cord from the rear of the printer.
  • Wait for at least 60 seconds.
  • Reconnect the power cord to the printer.
  • Turn the printer on, if it doesn't turn on automatically.

Update Firmware: Ensure that your printer has the latest firmware installed. You can usually find firmware updates on the HP support website. Follow the instructions provided to update the firmware.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
