HP Envy 4520 only printing black and white with current printer driver (40.11)

So this is a known issue, the latest driver on the HP website for my ENVY 4520 printer (40.11) and apparently for some other models also does only show the option to print black and white in the printing preferences menu. I am really disappointed with HP's support. To put it in other words, HP's support is downright bullsh***. You cannot reach them directly via e-mail and telephone is not free of charge. The only option is the community now.

 

Does anybody know if HP will finally release a working driver? I would be happy to install an older, functioning version, but HP does not offer a driver archive and I don't want to download a driver from a dubious third party website. The CD is nowhere to be found and I am stuck with what HP has to offer. Is there a reliable source for older drivers?
