Hp envy 5055 stays on loading screen. Tried unplugging for a while and it didn’t work. When plugging it in the screen turns on and the bar goes all the way but that’s where it stays. Only 2 out of the 7 loading dots load.

@Marissa714, Welcome to HP Support Community,

Thank you for posting your query; I’m here to help by guiding you through steps to resolve this issue

If your HP Envy 5055 printer is stuck on the loading screen, there are a few steps you can try to resolve the issue:

Power Reset:

  • Unplug the printer from the power source.
  • Wait for about 60 seconds.
  • While waiting, press and hold the power button on the printer for about 15 seconds, which helps drain any residual power.
  • Plug the printer back into the power source without connecting any other cables, and then turn it on.

Check for Firmware Updates:

  • Ensure your printer firmware is up to date. Visit the HP Support website to check for any available firmware updates for your printer model.

Hard Reset:

  • Sometimes a hard reset can resolve these kinds of problems. To do this, disconnect the Ethernet or USB cables, restart your computer, and then restart your printer.

Reinstall the Printer Driver:

  • Ensure the printer driver is correctly installed on your computer. Reinstall the driver by downloading the latest software from the HP Support website.

I hope this helps.

Please feel free to reply here if you have any questions or if you need further clarification on any of the steps.

Take care and have a good day.
