HP Envy 5542
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

As it is already related in other topics on the forum, it is impossible to print in colour or to use the recto/verso automatic printing since I've reinstalled Windows 10 on my HP Envy laptop.

I've followed all the instructions found here : https://h30434.www3.hp.com/t5/Printers-Archive-Read-Only/HP-ENVY-5540-won-t-print-in-color/td-p/6113...

But it never work again... it was working well few days ago also on Windows 10 64 bits...

The issue is known since 2017 but it seems that there has been no bug fix the to driver, it's really a shame for HP!!

Please give me a real solution I'm getting crazy and loss a lot of time with this problem !!

@tdelv Welcome to HP Community!

I understand that you are unable to print in color.

Do not worry. I will try to fix the issue.

Please try to update the windows updates and check.

Windows Updates -

1) In the search box, type, and open Windows Updates.

2) Check for updates.

3) If the updates are available, click on install and restart the computer.

Please run the SFC scan. you can refer to this Link: https://support.microsoft.com/en-in/help/4026529/windows-10-using-system-file-checker

Then try to install the printer driver and check.
