Dear HP community

 

I have this problem:

 

My printer HP Envy 6230 is frozen in this screen:

Can someone please help?

What can I do?

Note: What I did: unplugged and plugged the electric cable 10 minutes after, the only one the device has. Has no USB cable, operates only by Wi-Fi.

Welcome to the HP Support Community. I'd be happy to assist you.

 

I suggest you do a Hard Reset on the printer

 

(1) Turn the printer on, if it is not already on.

(2) Wait until the printer is idle and silent before you continue.

(3) With the printer turned on, disconnect the power cord from the rear of the printer.

(4) Unplug the power cord from the wall outlet.

(5) Wait at least 60 seconds.

(6) Plug the power cord back into the wall outlet.

NOTE: HP recommends connecting the printer power cord directly to the wall outlet.

(7) Reconnect the power cord to the rear of the printer.

(8) Turn on the printer, if it does not automatically turn on.

 

The printer might go through a warm-up period. The printer lights might flash, and the carriage might move.

Wait until the warm-up period finishes and your printer is idle and silent before you proceed.

Thanks for your attention.

Already tried that, just now. Didn't work.

The printer automatically turns on and freezes...

No warm up period, any carriage move.

Printer just turns on and the display freezes when the line below the HP symbol stops...

Update the printer firmware

Download available firmware updates from the HP website

With the printer on and connected to the computer, go to HP Customer Support - Software and Driver Downloads, and then identify your printer. Look for and install any available firmware updates. Refer to the document HP Printers - Updating or Upgrading Printer Firmware

 

If the issue persists, the only option left is to perform a full reset and re-initialize the printer. 

 

The reset instructions are specific for your printer and performing those steps on a different printer may brick the device. 

I've sent you a private message with reset instructions, follow the reset instruction to perform a full reset, and re-initialize the printer.
