HP ENVY 7645 e-All-in-One Printer

HP Envy 7645 Printer.  Error Message:  "Photo Tray is blocked. Please adjust"    The photo tray was not used, the Error Message just popped up. Need instructions on how to fix the photo tray problem.

Here are some steps to troubleshoot and fix the "Photo Tray is Blocked. Please Adjust" error on your HP ENVY 7645 e-All-in-One Printer:

 

Check for Paper Jams or Obstructions

  1. Turn off the printer and unplug it from the power source.
  2. Open the paper tray and remove all paper.
  3. Inspect the photo tray area for any debris, small pieces of paper, or obstructions.
  4. If you see any foreign objects, gently remove them.

Ensure the Photo Tray is Properly Seated

  1. Push the photo tray all the way in until it clicks into place.
  2. Slide the tray in and out a few times to make sure it's moving freely.

Reset the Printer

  1. Turn off the printer and unplug it.
  2. Wait for about 2–3 minutes.
  3. Plug it back in and turn it on.
  4. Check if the error message is gone.

Manually Adjust the Photo Tray

  1. Remove the main paper tray completely.
  2. Locate the small photo tray and gently lift it up slightly.
  3. Push it back into position carefully, ensuring it is aligned correctly.

Update Firmware

  1. Go to HP Support.
  2. Search for your printer model (HP ENVY 7645).
  3. Download and install the latest firmware update.

Perform a Hard Reset

  1. With the printer turned on, unplug the power cable from the back.
  2. Unplug it from the wall outlet.
  3. Wait 60 seconds.
  4. Plug the power cable back into the wall first, then into the printer.
  5. Turn the printer on and check if the error persists.
