HP Envy Photo 7100 prints status reports every week - Why? and How can I Stop it?

HP Recommended
Envy Photo 7100
macOS 10.15 Catalina

Every Monday morning my printer automatically prints 3 pages  with what appears to be configuration information (see picture).

Why does this keep happening and how do I get it to stop?  It wastes paper and does not really provide me anything useful since I have no clue as to what it is telling me.

Thanks

Hi @davepetri

Welcome to the HP Support Community. I'd be happy to assist you.

By default, there is no setting on the printer to print any reports automatically.

Is the printer on a wireless network?

Is the printer enrolled in Instant Ink?

If not, proceed to the next step.

Turn off web services and check if the issue persists.

Refer to this document to know how.

Reset the printer

  1. With the printer turned on, disconnect the power cord from the rear of the printer.
  2. Wait at least 60 seconds.
  3. Reconnect the power cord to the rear of the printer.
  4. Turn ON the printer, if it does not automatically turn on.
  5. Wait until the printer is idle and silent before you proceed.

Note: HP recommends connecting the printer directly to a wall outlet rather than a surge protector or a power strip.
