HP ENVY Photo 7134 All-in-One Printer

I have the "stuck during boot" issue where the loading bar fills up and then nothing happens. I have tried every suggestion for this seemingly common problem to no avail, so I kindly request the "secret" reset instructions that you only send in dm's as a last ditch attempt 🙂

Hi @TH08OFT0MQ,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

I can provide detailed reset instructions for the HP Envy Photo 7134 that might help resolve the boot issue. Here’s a more advanced approach you can try.

Advanced Reset Instructions for HP Envy Photo 7134

Power Cycle the Printer:

  • Turn off the printer using the power button.
  • Disconnect the power cord from the back of the printer.
  • Wait for at least 60 seconds.
  • Reconnect the power cord and turn on the printer.

Perform a Hard Reset:

  • With the printer powered on, disconnect all cables (power, USB, and network cables).
  • Press and hold the power button for 30 seconds.
  • Release the power button, reconnect all cables, and then turn the printer on.

Perform a Semi-Full Reset:

  • While the printer is turned on, disconnect the power cord from the printer.
  • Press and hold the "Cancel" button (the red X button) while reconnecting the power cord.
  • Continue holding the "Cancel" button until the printer starts the initialization process.

Check for Firmware Issues:

  • Ensure that the printer firmware is up-to-date. You might need to connect the printer to a computer using a USB cable and use HP Smart or another utility to check for firmware updates.

Inspect the Printer for Physical Issues:

  • Check for any paper jams, stuck parts, or obstructions inside the printer that might be causing the issue.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
