HP ENVY 6055e All-in-One Printer

The printer has all error lights blinking on & off rapidly.  It says it's offline.  I cannot get it to stop.  Have restarted it (and computer) multiple times, as well as unplugging it.  Have checked for jams or cartridges being stuck.  It stops blinking if you open the casing, but resumes again as soon as it's closed.  And by ALL the lights, I mean ALL the lights.  The print quantity lights keeps blinking between a 6 and E.

Hi @SandyMc1,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

It sounds like your HP ENVY 6055e All-in-One Printer is experiencing a serious error. The fact that all the lights are blinking rapidly and the error code 6E appears suggests there might be a hardware issue. Here are some steps you can try to resolve this.

Power Cycle:

  • Turn off the printer and unplug it from the power source.
  • Wait for at least 60 seconds.
  • Plug it back in and turn it on to see if the issue persists.

Check for Paper Jams:

  • Open all access doors and check for any paper jams or obstructions.
  • Remove any jammed paper carefully.

Check and Reinstall Cartridges:

  • Open the cartridge access door.
  • Remove the ink cartridges and check for any obstructions or ink clogs.
  • Reinsert the cartridges carefully and make sure they click into place.

Reset the Printer:

  • Sometimes performing a hard reset can resolve issues. Check if there’s a reset option in the printer’s menu or documentation.

Firmware Update:

  • If possible, check if there's a firmware update available for the printer. Sometimes updating the firmware can resolve unusual behavior.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.

Thank you for the helpful advice Alden. I had previously tried all of that and more...and eventually came to the conclusion that the printer was a lost cause.  It's been disposed of and replaced.
