HP Officejet Pro 6835
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I have been succesfully using HP Eprint for months now and a few weeks it just started bouncing back. We use Office 365 through our company and that's the emails that get bounced back. If I use my Gmail account it prints just fine with no bounce backs.

I've double-checked my SPF record and it's got the appropriate record in there.

The message I'm getting from the bounce-back is:

Error Details

Reported error:

550 5.7.1 Command rejected

DSN generated by:

MW2PR1501MB2089.namprd15.prod.outlook.com

Remote server:

hpeprint.com

Can someone please help me out?

Thanks in advance for your help!

As I understand, you're in need of support.

Don't worry as I'll be glad to help, however, to provide an accurate resolution, I need a few more details:

Since when are you having the issue?

Which email extension are you using?

Did it work before?

Please reset up HP ePrint following steps from the link: Click Here

Let me know how that pans out

Thanks for the reply, however that link you gave me didn't help me any. I've already gone through HP Eprint settings in detail and everything is setup correctly.

Not sure what you mean by which extension am I using.

And yes, it used to work just fine. It just stopped working about a month ago. Have no idea why. Nothing changed on my end or on our company's side of things. We've been using Office 365 for over a year now.

Thanks in advance for your help.

@jamiegrichards,

Thank you for responding,

It's great to have you back 😉

I was referring to extensions such as Gmail, Yahoo, Outlook (Email Extension).

Please try these troubleshooting steps mentioned below:

Step 1: Check the printer status and requirements

Make sure your printer is on, set up, updated, and connected to a network.

   NOTE:

If you connect your printer with a USB cable, HP ePrint does not work.

  1. Make sure the printer is turned on.

  2. Make sure your printer is connected to the Internet.

    • If your printer is with a wired (Ethernet) connectionconnected , check the cable and the lights on the printer’s Ethernet  port. The green link light should be steady, and the orange activity light should blink when the cable is connected.

    • If your printer is with a wireless connectionconnected , make sure the wireless feature is on, and the printer is connected to the same network as your computer.

Some printers have a wireless icon  and a blue light on the front of the printer. Make sure the light is on and not blinking.

If you are having issues with your network connection, skip to the Troubleshoot your network connection step in this document.

  3. Make sure Web Services is turned on. Web Services must remain turned on at all times to use HP ePrint.

On your wireless printer, if a connecting to server message displays and Web Services fails to connect to the server, skip to the wireless network connection section of the Troubleshoot your network connection step in this document.

  4. Make sure the printer firmware is up to date. If the firmware is not up to date, HP ePrint might not work.

To update the printer firmware, go to HP Customer Support. Type your printer model, and then search for the document on updating the firmware for your printer.

  5. Check the printer control panel for any blinking lights or error messages.

If there is an issue, go to HP Customer Support. Type your printer model, and then search for "blinking lights" or the error message that displays.

Step 2: Check the email and print job requirements

Check the following requirements to make sure your HP ePrint job prints correctly.

  1. Make sure the correct printer email address is in the To: field.

If there are additional email addresses in the same field as the printer's email address, the HP ePrint server cancels the print job. For additional recipients, type the email address in the Cc: field.

  2. Make sure the subject line has text. A blank email subject line might cause the HP ePrint server to cancel the print job.

  3. Check the email account you are trying to send to for an ePrint error email.

  4. Check the following HP ePrint email requirements:

    • No more than 10 attachments per email print job.

    • The total size of the email must be 10 MB or less, including attachments.

    • The following are supported document file types: text (.txt), PDF, HTML, Microsoft Word (.doc and .docx), Microsoft PowerPoint (.ppt and .pptx), and Microsoft Excel (.xls and .xlsx).

    • The following are supported photo file types: .bmp, .gif, .jpg, .png, and .tiff.

    • Photos must have a horizontal and vertical resolution of 100 pixels or higher.

    • Digitally signed, encrypted, or password protected documents are not supported by HP ePrint.

Step 3: Check the print history queue (optional)

Hi,

did you get any resolution this problem? We have exactly the same problem, unable to send from O365 to hpeprint.com. Same error message as You have. Checked both Dmarc and SPF records and they are ok. For us the problem is only from domains that have their email in O365.

Nope, I never heard back from anyone on this. Still have the issue. You would think somebody at HP would have info on this issue. I'm sure it's happening to everyone that uses Office 365. And that's a lot of people!!

Yeah, can't understand why this can't be fixed, it is a real PITA. Obviously this has to be a problem at hpeprint.com end.

Hi

i had the same problem, then I had my hosting for email add a DKIM register to my settings for my domain ... then everything is OK ...

setting SPF, DKIM, or DMARC can cause e-print errors ....
