Hi @JUANANGELG

Welcome to the HP support community.

I understand you're experiencing an issue with your HP device, and I apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused. I'm here to help you today.

If your HP LaserJet Color 5500HDN printer hangs and shows "Printing..." on the control panel, even after a firmware update and regardless of network connection, here are some troubleshooting steps you can try:

1. Power Cycle the Printer

  • Turn off the printer and unplug it from the power source.
  • Wait for about 60 seconds, then plug it back in and turn it on.

2. Check for Errors

  • Look for any error messages or warning lights on the printer. If there are any error codes, consult the printer’s manual or HP’s support website for their meanings.

3. Check Printer Connections

  • Ensure that all cables (USB, network, etc.) are securely connected. If you’re using a network connection, try using a direct USB connection to rule out network issues.

4. Print from a Different Source

  • Try printing a test page from a different computer or application to see if the issue persists. This can help determine if the problem is specific to a certain device or document.

5. Reset the Printer to Factory Defaults

I hope this helps! Keep me posted.

One thing to try, if you have added memory to the machine, remove it and try to print.
