@CrimsonTideRon, Welcome to the HP Support Community!

Thanks for reaching out about your query regarding "Add Paper" Error on HP LaserJet MFP 3301!

We're thrilled to have the opportunity to assist you and provide a solution.

If you're still experiencing the "Add Paper" error on your HP LaserJet MFP 3301 after trying all the recommended steps, here are additional troubleshooting steps you can follow:

Verify Paper Loading: Double-check that the paper is loaded correctly in the tray. Ensure the paper guides are snug against the paper stack without being too tight and that the paper is not overfilled past the maximum line in the tray.

Check Paper Quality: Confirm that the paper type meets HP specifications. Avoid using paper that is damp, wrinkled, or damaged.

Inspect Sensor Functionality: Sometimes, paper size sensors can malfunction or be obstructed. Check for any debris around the paper sensors in the tray.

Firmware Update: Make sure the printer firmware is updated. Firmware updates can resolve persistent errors.

Hardware Check: Ensure that there isn't any physical obstruction or damage in the interior paper path or feeder mechanism. Inspect the tray's sensors and paper path for any issues.

Reset the Printer: Power off the printer and unplug it. Wait a few minutes before plugging it back in and turning it on.

Hope this helps!

Take care, and have an amazing day!
