Hi there i am new to this forum but have an HP Laserjet E40040 which has an LCD display that is asking for an Admin password. Can anybody assist me please with the generic password?

What function are you trying to access that is asking for a password? Only the service menu under support tools is password protected from the factory. The admin password out of box is not set.
