I bought a used HP M110WE printer recently and bought I ordered a 142A cartridge as well. When I inserted the cartridge and tried to print it doesn't work. I am able to print status pages and it gave me an error like "you can print status pages but for more information I have to go to hp account". I tried reading many articles and tried many things but it doesn't work. The print jobs fail miserably. I thought it was an issue with the cartridge,so I bought another one (double coats) and still the same issue. Can anyone please help me. Thanks

The first step is to reset the printer to factory defaults. The printer must be connected to your wi-fi, in your web browser enter printer's IP address to access printer's settings, there, you will find the option to factory reset, if asked for a password or you need to log in as administrator, use the PIN ( as password) that is on a label under the toner access door.

After you have reset the printer, connect it to your Wi-Fi and use the HP Smart app to register the printer with your username and password to HP+. Then it will work.

You can find printer's IP address on the report page that can be printed. Without connection to the internet and  registration to HP+ the printer will not work.

It sounds complicated but it's like 5 minute job.
