Please I am locked out of my HP M454 DW.

I am a system administrator and find this quite frustrating after 30 yrs of owning only HP products.

Most of the settings are greyed out with the annoying locked out msg.

There is no device listed in the Network Setup/Ethernet Settings.

Thank you.

Regards

Billie Lawless

You need to access the cold reset function from the printer maintenance men>resets.

Be aware that a previous administrator may have locked out this function in which case my understanding means you cannot reset. This is a security feature,

Thank you for responding.

I discovered the answer after an exhaustive search on the Internet.

You won't find it on any HP site without the hoopla of asking and then waiting for secret special instructions from a HP rep.

directed to only your email as it is so secret.

I then posted a reply to my own question.

Obviuosly HP removed it as it was critical of the company.

A company with whom I have spent 10'0s of thousands of dollars over a span of 30 yrs.

Touich the Home button 3 X's and one can then gain access to the different grades of restore you feel you might need.

I am sure they will remove this as well.

I have 30 employees and some have critical deadlines.

I should wait for the above directions?

Too bad HP you can't handle smallest amount of criticism from a customer going back so far in tiime.
