Hi

I have HP M477fdw, it was working fine but the only problem was faint picture from one side. When I disassembled the fuser I mentioned that there was a burnt paper stick to the lower pressure roller (pink one). I ordered replacement pink roller and black sleeve (just in case).

I followed very details YouTube video how to change it (even for specific fuser model), when I did everything and connected the fuser back, now it gives me “Engine Communication Error”.

I reconnected all cables from the fuser to board, but it did5 help. What could be the issue? Any chance that at some stage I assembled the fuser wrong?

A bad fuser would give you a fuser error not a communication error. I would recheck the flat flexible cable that you had to disconnect that runs from the formatter to the dc controller.

Hi

Yes you was right. The pins were damaged on the flex cable, I tried a flex cable from the different printer and it worked, however now I am getting "50.7 fuser error".

Just to say, I recently replaced pressure transfer roller (pink) and black sleeve (next to pink roller).
Any ideas what it might be? I have read that this error corresponds to "wrong pressure release on the fuser" but how to fix it?
