HP LJ M608

We have a LJ m608dn printer - the front cover will no longer latch without a lot of force.

It's likely worn out - but I've searched for an hour now and simply cannot find that the part number to order.

Any ideas?

Are you talking the cartridge door or the MP tray?

Main door is part number RM2-6745-000CN

MP tray door part number is RC4-7312-000CN

There are other parts involved in the MP tray. I suggest you search and find the service manual to ensure you are getting the parts you need.

Thanks for responding - and kudos on the name.

The manual was my first stop and I went through the entire thing.

After much searching, I believe that the offending part is called a Cartridge Door interlock, but that said I can't find the part number nor which larger part it might be a part of.

When the cartridge door closes, it latches. This door stopped latching unless you really bang it.

I've read the solutions about pressing in the little tab on the left hand side, etc., etc, however in this case that's not it.
