HP OJ Pro 7740 won't print

My OfficeJet Pro 7740 stopped printing; it says printing on the little printer screen but it does not continue. My wife printed a document and 1 page came out and now it is stuck. While in this mode, I tried sending a test page but it says printer is busy. Since then I have cancelled at both the computer and printer. 

 

 I have rebooted printer and computer several times with little success. 

 

Once I tried a test page and it worked; then tried normal document and it was stuck again. From the computer app it cancelled the doc immediately but the printer window showed it as still printing. I then tried cancelling it from the printer window and it says canceling but it took a long time (several minutes). 

 

After this I printed another test page and it worked. I did this several times and it worked. Then I tried sending another doc and it got stuck again.
