Hi Krazy Toad,

I called the number and the voice message said I had to chat with a Virtual Agent before I would be connected to a live agent.  Followed the Command steps and entered: sfc/scannow.  Corrupt files were successfully repaired.  Then the VA's Next Step was to connect to the Print and Scan Doctor.  It says the Officejet 8620 is installed, but is not communicating with the computer.  The test page failed to print, but the internal test page printed successfully, so the printer is working.  Now I'm being directed to "chat with a VA" again.  I asked to be assigned a case number, but when I entered the SN, the message said the printer is out of warranty, and will not assign a case number and give me a phone number to talk to a live agent.

Since my printer is out of warranty I will pay for the assistance of a tech support, but I am unable to reach a live support agent after following all the online instructions.  What else can I do to reach a live agent so I can  get my printer fixed?  It worked fine before my new HP Pavilion was installed.  Thank you.

I have brought your issue to the attention of an appropriate team within HP. They will likely request information from you in order to look up your case details or product serial number. Please look for a private message from an identified HP contact. Additionally, keep in mind not to publicly post personal information (serial numbers and case details).

If you are unfamiliar with how the Community's private message capability works, you can learn about that here.

Thank you for visiting the HP Support Community.
