HP OfficeJet 5255 All-in-One Printer
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)
I purchased a black ink cartridge about two months ago and printed around 20 black and white pages.

Recently, I noticed the print quality has decreased to the point where the printed pages are completely white.

Despite I have barely used the printer,  it seems that there is no more black ink:
Depending on which HP reporting tool I use, I see that the color ink level is about 30%, but the black ink is reported as either almost completely empty or very low.

I've reset the printer and cleaned the cartridge and printer's electric contacts.
I also uninstalled all the printer software and removed the printer from the devices and printers list.

When I print a test page, it only displays yellow; there is no red, blue, or black.
Maybe the fact that the other two colors are missing could cause the issue?

I've checked the printer events, but they are quite cryptic. I couldn't find a way to see exactly how many pages I've printed since the latest cartridge replacement. The information only shows how many color and black-and-white cartridges I've replaced since purchasing the printer, which isn't very helpful.

I'm not sure if it would be wise to spend another $40 on a new ORIGINAL black ink cartridge if it's only going to print another 10 to 20 pages.
