HP OfficeJet 5255
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

My HP Office Jet 5255 shows an Error Code 0xb3d8ea2b.  I've unplugged printer and plugged back in, which didn't solve the problem.

I did a printer test sheet, which printed ok.

I'm not sure what to try next to get rid of the Error Code message on printer screen.

Help please. Thank you.

Hi @SuzanneG2, @MikeE8,

I'd like to help!

I understand you are receiving a 0XB error.

We can perform a factory defaults on the printer to resolve the issue

To restore the printer to the original factory defaults

1. On the printer control panel display, from the Home screen, swipe left to see ( Setup ) and touch ( Setup ).

2. Touch Tools, touch Restore Factory Defaults, and then follow the onscreen instructions.

Hope this helps! Keep me posted.

I have same error code as in message subject above.  Printer (5255) linked to a MacBook for~2 years and  started getting this message yesterday (24July2021).  If I turn off or unplug to reset, the error code disappears and I can print but after a few minutes the same error code (0xb3d8ea2b) appears again on printer screen and printer appears 'offline'.  Have gone through this process several times for the temporary fix and a return to error code.

I am having the same problem. I even uninstalled the printer and then reinstalled it...that didn't work either. It may be coincidence but it all started after a power outage. Would love to know if anyone has a solution.  Of course the printer is out of warranty.
