HP OfficeJet 4650 All-in-One Printer

The 4650 printer simply does not turn on. Even after disconnecting; waiting 5 minutes, reconnecting. Nothing. Suggestions?

I understand that your HP OfficeJet 4650 printer won’t power on, even after disconnecting and reconnecting it. Let’s go through a few checks to see if we can get it working again:

 

1. Power Source Check

Make sure the power cord is firmly connected to both the printer and a working wall outlet (avoid power strips or surge protectors).

Try a different outlet to rule out electrical issues.

 

2. Power Reset

Disconnect the power cord from the printer and wall outlet.

Wait at least 60 seconds.

Plug the cord back directly into the wall outlet and the printer.

Press the Power button to see if it responds.

 

3. Inspect Power Cord & Adapter

If you have access to another compatible HP power cord/adapter, try swapping it to rule out a faulty cord.

 

4. Check for Signs of Power

Look for any blinking lights, sounds, or faint display activity. If there’s absolutely no response, it’s often a hardware power failure.
