HP OfficeJet 6600 Improper Shutdown Message - then Power Down

HP Recommended
OfficeJet 6600
Microsoft Windows 8.1 (64-bit)

I had a paper jam on the OfficeJet 6600 which I cleared, but since then I am getting message "Improper Shutdown" on the screen, and then the printer powers off.  It will not power back on with the power button, but it will power up if I do it at the outlet - however it just displays improper shutdown and shuts down again.  I have followed the forum item on power reset -- but the problem continues.  When it powers up, I can get to the menu for a few seconds before it power off again.  Any suggestions?

Try pressing the return button (upcurve left arrow) on the control panel 4 times to get to a support menu, and then find the OOB reset to reset it like it came from teh factory...not just the settings.

Hi PT106,

It coule be possible that the paper Jam is not completely cleared and there are still some bits stuck inside the printer service station or roller feed area. That will cause the printer not being able to power down completely.

Please follow the Paper Jam clearing guide for the printer as below
