HP OfficeJet Pro 6968

Hello,

My printer is not working. First it says I have a paper jam, but there is no paper jam. I have gone through all the steps of clearing a paper jam, and there is no jammed paper. I also get Printer Failure messages 0x6100004a. I have already tried turning printer on and off multiple times; unplugging the printer from the back and then from the outlet while the printer is turned on; I have tried running the diagnostics program. Nothing is working. Printer was working fine until I unplugged and moved it across the room a couple of days ago. Ever since I plugged it back in it hasn't worked.

Hi @Sandra2021,

I'd like to help!

If you have already performed the steps from the document A 'Paper Jam' Error Displays and the issue persists, it could be a hardware failure.

Please reach out to the HP Support in your region regarding the service options for your printer.

If you are having trouble navigating through the above options, it's most likely because the device is out of warranty. If yes? please send me a private message with the region you are contacting us from. Check next to your profile Name, you should see a little blue envelope, please click on it.

Hope this helps!

Keep me posted.

I have the same problem and my printer is out of warranty (but I have a second HP printer under warranty).  What can I do?  Hate to toss an otherwise OK machine, and bad for HP as well because I have Instant Ink.  But not paying to fix.

Did you ever get a fix?

Were you able to reach the HP Phone Support team?

Nope. So frustrating!

Nope. Pretty underwhelmed with support so far. Looks like I need to get a new printer. Doubt it will be an HP given issues with this one and inability to easily reach a person who can help me. 😞

I have brought your issue to the attention of an appropriate team within HP. They will likely request information from you in order to look up your case details or product serial number. Please look for a private message from an identified HP contact. Additionally, keep in mind not to publicly post personal information (serial numbers and case details).
