@GreatGonzo, Welcome to HP Support Community,

Thank you for posting your query; I’m here to help by guiding you through steps to resolve this issue

If your HP OfficeJet Pro 8030 is printing duplicate pages despite a copy setting of "1," follow these steps to troubleshoot and resolve the issue:

Restart the Printer and Computer:

  • Turn off your printer, unplug it for a minute, then plug it back in and turn it on again.
  • Restart your computer to refresh the connection between your devices.

Check Print Settings:

  • On your computer, ensure that the print settings in the application you are using do not set multiple copies.
  • Access the print dialogue box and verify that "Copies" is set to "1."
  • Ensure that the option for collated printing is not causing duplicate pages.

Update Printer Firmware and Drivers:

  • Visit HP Support to check if there are any firmware updates available for your printer.
  • Download and install updates, as they may fix known issues.

Check for Software Errors:

  • Ensure your printer software and drivers are up to date.
  • If required, uninstall and reinstall the HP printer software. This can clear any settings errors.

Reset Printer Settings:

  • From the printer control panel, restore printer settings to default.
  • Go to Settings > Tools > Restore Defaults on the control panel to perform a reset.

Clear Print Queue:

  • Verify if there are any stuck documents in the print queue which might be causing replication.
  • Clear the print queue by canceling all documents and try printing again.

Perform a Test Print:

  • Print a test page to see if the issue persists after resetting and updating everything.

I hope this helps.

Please feel free to reply here if you have any questions or if you need further clarification on any of the steps.

Take care and have a good day.
