I purchased a new HP officejet but now I need to dispose of my OfficeJet Pro 8600. There is a printer failure on the screen that prevents me from accessing reset capabilities from the font panel. I tried doing it from the HP app but to no avail. I tried the usual power plug in/out but that did not work after several attempts. Can you please tell how to do a factory reset. Many thanks in advance.

Unfortunately, none of the solutions posted helped and I wasted a lot of time on these suggestions.
What did work is the following: I removed all of the ink-cartridges from the printer and closed the door. That allowed me to access the printer front panel. From there I was able to navigate to the factory reset settings.
So, tell people to remove all of the ink from the printer.
