Hi @Pricex4,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

It sounds like your HP OfficeJet Pro 8610 might be dealing with a firmware or hardware issue if it's repeatedly showing the "Improper Shutdown" message. Here are some steps you can try to resolve the issue.

Power Cycle the Printer:

  • Unplug the printer from the power source.
  • Wait for at least 60 seconds.
  • Plug the printer back in and try turning it on.

Check Power Source and Cable:

  • Make sure the power cord is securely connected to both the printer and the power outlet.
  • Try using a different power outlet or a different power cord if available.

Reset the Printer:

  • If you can access the menu, try performing a factory reset from the printer's control panel. This might be under "Setup" or "Tools" depending on the model.

Update Firmware:

  • If you can get the printer to turn on long enough, check if there's a firmware update available. You can usually find updates on the HP support website.

Inspect for Paper Jams or Obstructions:

  • Check for any paper jams or foreign objects inside the printer that might be causing the issue.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
