HP OfficeJet Pro 9018 All-in-One - Product # 3UK84A
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I have a Carriage Jam error stating that the print carriage cannot move. I've never had a paper jam so I don't see it related to a paper jam. Still, I thoroughly checked the inside of the printer for any paper or other obstructions. I saw none. I've power cycled the printer by unplugging it and leaving it unplugged for a few minutes. I've also tried to slide it with my hand (but didn't force it). It's locked in the parked position on the right and will not move. The printer is barely a year old. I don't want to buy a new printer or spend the same amount fixing this one. How can I resolve this? Thanks!

@Jack-b-nimble, Welcome to the HP Support Community!

I understand you are not able to print as the print carriage is stuck. Make sure you have tried the steps mentioned in this document - Carriage Jam' or 'E3' Error Displays

Also, check for any jammed paper or broken parts/obstructions inside the printer. Refer to - Paper Jam Error

If the error persists, I'm afraid this is a hardware failure. Please reach out to the HP Technical Support team in your region regarding the service/replacement options for your printer.

You may create a case on the website to obtain a case number if required. Kindly watch this video to know how.

Keep me posted for any other assistance.
